Umbraco CMS is a popular, open source Content Management System that we have been working with for a number of years. Built using Microsoft .NET technology, we find it highly flexible and user friendly and it provides the functionality clients need to create, edit and manage their website's pages themselves. As well as adding the Umbraco CMS to your website, we can use our Umbraco development skills to build bespoke functionality not found 'out of the box'.

Rest-assured that the Umbraco technology is proven and well respected. Umbraco CMS is behind some of the biggest names on the web across all sorts of sectors; websites using Umbraco include those of WIRED magazine, Vogue, Heinz, Peugeot and Microsoft. 

 
Why become an Umbraco Development Agency?
As a UK web development agency, choosing to become an Umbraco partner was a simple choice, reflecting the benefits available to an Umbraco agency which can be passed onto the client in the form of a flexible, inuitive CMS. There are many more benefits to being an Umbraco digital creative agency: Umbraco is stable; developers like ourselves users have access to all of the source code; it offers a fully open application programming interface (API) and it runs on a .NET platform whilst utilising W3C standards.  All these features can be leveraged to build the client a better CMS.

As well as our own Governor Technology website, Umbraco has proved itself on many client sites. We recently integrated Umbraco into the new website we built for LV= Asset Management. As a result, the LVAM team are able to manage all content themselves, including fund manager profiles and videos. The site also features a bespoke document download matrix and dynamically generated daily fund prices.

We have since built custom plugins for enhanced search and email delivery functionality using Umbraco and are working on integration with the Salesforce CRM. Because Umbraco is open source it benefits from a strong developer community in which new ideas and applications are shared for the benefit of all.


Umbraco Certification
There is a defined process to becoming a certified Umbraco digital web agency or Umbraco web creative agency. In order to get certified for Umbraco, our developers needed to take the Umbraco Certification Course. Currently, there are no Umbraco UK certification courses available, but check the Umbraco Training site for updates (http://umbraco.com/products/training/schedule.aspx). Becoming Umbraco certified was an investment of time and learning by our developers.  But by becoming a London based certified Umbraco agency we can now offer a fuller and more complete CMS build and design service.
