E-Commerce Website + Email Marketing Campaign

SWAG is a successful jewellery business with a number of outlets in the South East of England. They asked us to relaunch and improve the performance of their e-commerce store and fix site security weaknesses so that their customer data was free from the risk of hackers.

We explored with them a range of options and SWAG chose to re-build the site from scratch with a completely new interface and navigation structure. The project took just six weeks and we had the new site live and running in time for the Christmas shopping rush. The new website saw increased sales and within three months SWAG had recouped their development costs.

Site features:

  • Online customers given full search and comparison options, before placing products in the shopping basket.
  • Seamless customer transactions with maximum security (all transactions handled with SSL, one of the highest levels of encryption currently available)
  • An intuitive administration interface to allow SWAG staff to easily update the product catalogue and view live online visit and sales statistics.
  • Site hosted on dedicated servers managed by Governor Technology to ensure maximum responsiveness for support and upgrades.
  • Built in XHTML with cascading stylesheets to give maximum flexibility for future design changes.

Email Marketing

To help drive traffic to the new website SWAG decided to use an email marketing campaign.

We worked with their designer to create a high-impact email template that could be re-used and customised easily with different content by SWAG and sent out from our own email marketing platform.

SWAG staff can login to our email platform and create a campaign, easily adding images and text to a template without need for technical skills or knowledge of HTML. A rich set of reports then provides information about how many people opened the email and clicked on embedded links - enabling SWAG to simply and cost-effectively manage the campaign and track response metrics.
