In an exciting start to 2008, Governor Technology is putting together a multi-discipline team to work on new web projects for one of our clients, a prestigious multinational company.
This team will be based in our London offices and its purpose is to deliver high-profile web applications on a cross-border basis. Across all required disciplines, we are looking for people with experience of an ‘agency’ style environment, and who relish working as part of a close-knit team.
We are specifically recruiting for the following roles:
Web Designer
Graphic design or new media degree required, excellent creative and communication skills, exposure in the advertising/agency market an advantage. In addition to creative skills in terms of producing concepts to business briefs, proficiency with tools of the trade such as Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash is required. We would want to see an online portfolio or physical book of previous work.
Flash Developer
Ability to code in Actionscript 2.0 is required, plus at least some exposure to Actionscript 3.0. The role includes working with external AS files. The developer would be required to build localised Flash applications for in different languages, with backend and scripted animation. Experience working closely with design and offshore teams would be a distinct advantage. We would want to see examples of code from previous assignments.
Programme Manager
3+ years experience managing complex web projects is required. You must have delivered projects across multiple markets and have a solid understanding of development frameworks (Agile, Scrum). Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are required, plus the ability to manage needs of multiple stakeholders whilst driving a clear schedule that delivers on time. Understanding and experience of web CMS, XML, .NET and web services is desirable.
Test Professional
We require a relevant degree and/or strong technical experience as a developer. Thorough knowledge of current load tools, test automation and harness writing is required. Working knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, Flash), as well as XML standards (XML, XSLT, XPath) is essential to the role. Knowledge of networks, protocols and the internet is also desirable, with emphasis on Windows Server MMC tools, Microsoft IIS and MS SQL.
